New Role for Contracts Manager following exam success

The team at Debmat Surfacing is proud to announce that Shaun Johnson has been promoted to Transport Manager following the successful completion of a Management CPC, which was funded and supported by the company.

Shaun joined Debmat in 2019 as Contracts Manager and since taking up the role he has been instrumental in streamlining operations, helping the company to grow and develop safely and profitably. Directors recognised that Shaun’s 35 years of experience in transport and construction, would also be beneficial to the management of the 28 strong fleet and organised for him to study the Management CPC qualification.

Surfacing and groundworks contractor completes refurbishment at North Tyneside business hub

The new car park has been developed to create a new route to the refurbished offices at Centre for Innovation at Swans Offshore Energy Park, Wallsend.

Surgo Construction was commissioned to complete the refurbishment of floors 2, 3 and 4 - including a roof terrace - at the CFI office building, along with the renovation of reception areas and the new car park. To be in keeping with the newly refurbished offices, the car park required a refurbishment to update its stone hardcore mat to a more user-friendly tarmacked surface. In addition to

“Working in partnership with other contractors has meant we have been able to fully integrate our surfacing and groundworks solutions into the site, which has created a smooth, clean tarmac surface for both cars and pedestrians to use safely – a stark contrast to the previous gravel surface.”
